One of the quotes of the Pope’s in the song calls to mind that I need to be silent in order to experience ‘a holy silence’ of ‘mysteriously veiled God’. This resonates with one of the Bible phrases that comes to my mind, ‘Be still, and know that I am God’ from Pslam. Thanks, Gene.
February 26th, 2008 at 11:09 amIt is beautiful.
Seems it’ll take a very long time (if ever, in this life) before that jagged JPII hole in our hearts is smoothed over in healing.
But there’s work to do.
February 26th, 2008 at 12:56 pmDear Gabrielle,
February 27th, 2008 at 11:58 amI enjoyed that video very much. I am preparing for a weekend of teaching about the Eucharist, and it was perfect to set the tone of adoration.
I have seen another incredibly moving video to the same song about the teenagers struggle with the world verses the living in Christ. The video can be found under “Lifehouse Everything” on godtube. Have you seen it?
“and how can I stand here with you and not be moved by you?”
I’m still reflecting on the indifference post. Can you tell?
Gene, it is a very deep silence, isn’t it; one that really goes beyond experiencing the silence. I have heard it said that one becomes the silence. You are the silence. He is the silence. And together, as one silence, there is communication.
JustMe, I know. I love what Pope Benedict XVI says in the video, about JPII being able to contemplate Christ directly now.
Truevyne, it’s been too long! How are you???
February 29th, 2008 at 10:58 amYes, I’ve seen the Lifehouse Everything video. A friend sent it to me a few months ago, and then JustMe had it on her site too. It is so beautiful, so very moving, as you say. I watched it many times, and was always moved to tears. May God bless you and the Holy Spirit inspire you this weekend as you are giving your Eucharistic teaching.
