Let me be the first to say Happy Anniversary, while you sleep, waiting to start the day!
October 21st, 2007 at 4:34 amBig congratulations and I hope you two will have a great day.
October 21st, 2007 at 7:35 amOh, congratulations!!!! So many congratulations!
October 21st, 2007 at 8:45 amD’oh — of COURSE he’ll have remembered. I am certain that the highlight of his every day is your smile.
October 21st, 2007 at 9:21 amIt’s the kind of mistake a lot of men only make once! I’m sure he will remember….have a lovely day!
October 21st, 2007 at 10:47 amI mean forgetting of course, not getting married lol. Good to see Joakim out and about again
October 21st, 2007 at 11:21 amAnn, ROFL!
Thanks everybody! Big HELLO to Joakim - yes, it’s very good to see you!
It’s a beautiful sunny autumn day here, so son and niece were out early (before I got up - we went to Mass last night) to do leaf-raking, which is their annual ritual to earn pocket-money, at three customers who have gargantuan backyards, and hubby always goes with them to help. So we haven’t really seen each other, and they may be gone all day. Well, he has twelve hours left to remember, but who’s counting?
October 21st, 2007 at 12:02 pmWow! 18 years! Heartfelt Congratulations! May God continue to bless your union, your life together….and use you both to be blessings to the lives of so many others. Tell your husband, for me, that he is truly fortunate to have such a wife as you, who reflects the love of our Lord in so many ways, to so many people. And who has certainly touched MY spirit, even over all these miles, more times than I can count. A blessed anniversary to you both. (I am guessing that he WILL remember…but that if he doesn’t, your forgiveness will be swift, and sincere).
October 21st, 2007 at 12:04 pmHi Kristin - we just posted at the same time!
Thank you so much; I’m truly touched by your comment, and I’ve been very fortunate to have him as well - he’s a loving dad too, a man of simple, strong faith, and has found his calling in recent years volunteering with a large soup-kitchen/shelter in our area. And no, it doesn’t matter if he forgets. But yes, I’ll remind him, gently, as I give him peanutbutter and crackers for supper.
October 21st, 2007 at 12:14 pmCongratulations Gabrielle. Quite an accomplishment to get married and stay married these days never mind to actually make it a successful marriage.
God bless you, your husband and family. Enjoy!
October 21st, 2007 at 12:59 pmOh, I’m absolutely delighted to say ~
Many Congratulations to you and your beloved!
God Bless you both, and may the Lord continue to bless your marriage
October 21st, 2007 at 4:59 pmDOH!!!!! That previous comment was me!
October 21st, 2007 at 4:59 pmThanks, Terry and Ukok, for your sweet comments and blessings! Much appreciated!
October 21st, 2007 at 5:15 pmWell, they’re home; they’ve eaten; they’re tired. Hubby didn’t remember. Apparently, it would have been helpful if I had written it on the kitchen calendar in large red letters. Not foolproof, mind you, but helpful.
October 21st, 2007 at 7:25 pmHappy Anniversary, may God bless you with many, many more.
October 21st, 2007 at 7:36 pmHappy 18th…and to think I nearly missed it. Thank goodness I got to great you on the day off. Peace be with you…and especially to him since he forgot! Scoundrel.

Thank you so much, Marie Cecile!
Yeah, you tell him, Owen! Scoundrel indeed! Clearly, he’s lost at least 50 points, as one of my married male co-workers would say.
October 22nd, 2007 at 1:10 amHow does one say “scoundrel” in French? Does one purse one’s lips into a schmooshie face and accent the “drel” part? I have tried it in the mirror; I don’t think he’d be devastated. *sigh..
Well, I suppose it could be worse, but still, I hope he sees altogether too much peanut butter and crackers this next day or so!
October 22nd, 2007 at 1:31 amIf you were saying it in English with a heavy French accent, I think you did a good job! In French we would say “coquin”, which is more like “rascal”. People usually use it in the context of “old rascal” (vieux coquin), or “little rascal” (petit coquin), like Shanie! Hilarious video!

Please know that I will be praying for Mr. & Mrs. Contemplative Haven (again) as I fall asleep. I am thankful for your marriage’s witness to God Who Is Love.
October 22nd, 2007 at 2:25 amOops, and yes, it is good to see Joakim !
October 22nd, 2007 at 2:30 amOh, Happy Anniversary!
October 22nd, 2007 at 12:35 pmDid he remember today?? I keep hoping!
October 22nd, 2007 at 4:07 pmJustMe, thank you for your prayers! We always need them!
Suzanne, thank you very much! Great to have you pop in!
Pia, he didn’t have much choice but to catch on last night, when I gave him his anniversary card! Truth be told, though, we’ve been so busy lately, and it seems everything’s always so hectic, I’m not at all surprised he forgot. Could have been me, so I’m not casting any stones. (Wouldn’t have minded some of those rubber dart-thingies though).
