I Found GodTube!
Perhaps I am the last to know (big grin; as per usual!), but I have just discovered GodTube, and thought you might be interested in taking a look.
At least for the moment, I don’t think we can embed GodTube video at St. Blog’s because Wordpress doesn’t allow it (some other service providers do), but we can at least link to anything we’d like to share.
Have a look, if you’re not out in the garden (or earning your living). How about THIS ONE, for starters?

Wonderful. Amen. Sit your back right up against His shins, look out at the people He sees, and listen. Yes. At least on Sundays. We could give that whole day back to God. Tho’ I’m sure many would say, “We can give Him our total attention in little moments, too.” Yes and we must, if that is our desire, because that desire hasn’t appeared mysteriously within us. But imagine a whole day of God.. whew.

August 11th, 2007 at 3:20 pmTake back Sunday, at least! We could, if we put our minds and hearts to it (exceptions, of course, for those who are compelled to work on Sunday because of their line of work). If I organized my household tasks better, I could take back Sunday (but I think the whole family would have to be on board with the concept). C.O., you’ve just inspired me.
August 11th, 2007 at 3:48 pmInteresting that you selected this video of a homily by Bishop Michael Burbidge. After I graduated form college and a disastrous year in northern New Jersey, I returned to my native Philadelphia and ended up working for a few years for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. I was the business manager for Nutritional Development Services which administerd the school lunch program and other community-oriented food distribution programs.
During one of the summers that I was there two young seminarians worked for us as monitors for the summer lunch feeding program. One of those seminarians was Mike Burbidge. The next thing I know he is ordained a bishop in Philly and is now bishop of the Diocese of Raleigh. He is still very young and it makes you wonder what the future holds for this gifted priest and now shepherd of a Catholic flock.

August 12th, 2007 at 5:25 pmThat’s really something, Terry. What a small world. It did, in fact, cross my mind that he looked rather young to be a bishop!
Thanks, Ann. I noticed, though, that they don’t really have their categories sorted out properly, but it’s a good start. Lots of stuff under “Catholic”, for instance, that really isn’t.
