Question

Is there a correct contemplative response to one’s city (OTTAWA!!!) being in the Stanley Cup Playoffs? I think so.
GO SENS GO !!!!!!!
Excuse me. I’m just practising living in the present moment. Now, back to our regular programing.
I don’t know.. I have no SENS.. (is that short for something?) Pardon me, I am Canada-uncool. Welllll, you knew that! but congrats on the Stanley Cup playoffs, and I certainly understand your joy — I was all agog when the Boston Red Sox won the World Series.. but I want also to say you’ve provided an additional joy, here. I just saw the link to Word Incarnate.

May 28th, 2007 at 10:49 pmYes, it’s short for Senators (the Ottawa Senators). And yes, Word Incarnate has been on my blogroll since I switched to St. Blog’s and started a blogroll!
Yikes, we just lost the first game to Annaheim. But hope springs eternal!
May 28th, 2007 at 11:04 pmCongratulations!
May 29th, 2007 at 5:15 amI am a Canadian who doesn’t care about hockey. Perhaps I’m not really Canadian? But, I guess, it’s nice to know our nation is being represented in the game we invented.
May 29th, 2007 at 8:03 pmThank you, Mr. Swede! Although, of course, I had nothing to do with it!
Owen, gasp! Whatever happened? Were you switched at birth? We’d better talk to your Mom. How is your Mom, by the way? She used to leave the odd comment at LM. Has she lost track of you? Is she aware you don’t like hockey, or have you been keeping it from her? Do you see how I’m rambling? It’s because I’m in shock.
May 29th, 2007 at 10:26 pmGabrielle,
If it can’t be the Flyers (sniff!), it should be the Senators!
Congrats!
Judy
May 31st, 2007 at 12:49 pmJudy I agree with you 100%! Go Flyers.. well, I guess they’re gone, so Go SENS!!!!
May 31st, 2007 at 6:04 pmGabrielle, I feel it in my bones, we will celebrate our favorite teams’ victories together. We’ve already won our cup, no you gusy do your best to win yours!!
Opps, the words were falling off the page again.
May 31st, 2007 at 6:05 pmSorry for the tupos….i mean type-o’s
Judy, thanks, and the Flyers will live to fly another day! And fmn, as long as it’s just the words and not you falling off the page, we’re okay. Us gusyies will do our very best, but we’re down 2 games to zero as I speak (I mean, as I fall off the page).
June 1st, 2007 at 1:31 amMom is fine. Thanks for asking after her. She’s more likely to show up these days on onionboy.ca if I, uh, even get posting again.
One thing I liked about HIC was that I got to stay up on Wednesday nights to watch the Leafs, back in the day when they actually won a game and a cup or two. I tuned out when the league quadrupled and all the talk was of franchise this and mega buck that. I was out well before Wayne was lacing up. I actually have some strong views on so called pro sports but even among Christians I get told to lighten up, that it’s just a game but I always ask, what kind of “game” is it?
June 2nd, 2007 at 9:26 pmWell, I am no sports nut, that’s for sure. But the hometown, well…what are you gonna do?
